Irrigation Renovation Complete!

We have finally replaced the ornery old diesel pump with an electric model! The new system will be set to automatically run early in the morning, which will help prevent grass diseases while saving water. The drastic operational labor savings will be a welcome change, as will be the improved coverage provided by the re-aligned irrigation lines and the modern sprinkler heads-- not to mention the power savings provided by a pump which need only run on-demand.

We certainly appreciate your patience and understanding during this renovation process. "Ground Under Repair" rules apply to any areas still affected by the digging.

Continuing Tee Box & Greens Improvements

This year we will continue enlarging and improving the tee boxes, most notably the forward tees on #4 and #9. Enlargement of the #8 green is also on the schedule.

Quig's Maplewood Driving Range

We've acquired the driving range, so now we can coordinate the operation of that facility with the rest of the course! We'll be implementing a 10-bucket discount card, plus this year each member received a free 5-bucket punchcard with their membership cards.

New Web Design

We have been doing a lot of work behind the scenes to make this site load faster and work more efficiently. In the coming weeks the entire site will gradually be updated as we transition to a new code structure.

What Next?

Those of you who know us best know that our minds are always working, planning and dreaming up new ways to improve the course and clubhouse. Some of these ideas will make it to fruition, while others will be cast aside as impossible or impractical. so, what are a few of our current ideas?

We're investigating the feasability of expanding the pond between the 2nd and 7th fairways, bringing water into play on #7 for long-ball hitters.
A nifty side effect of the excavation would be the massive amounts of soil that would need to find a new home, so if that idea pans out you may find new topography on various parts of the course.
The new shelter we built by the #5 forward tee last year creates many oportunities for a wonderful garden.
As soon as renovations of the irrigation lines and tee boxes are finished on #4, we can start planning some serious landscaping there.
We're also considering adding alternate tee boxes to #7 and #8, which would completely change how these holes are played and add variety for 18-hole players.
